Free Halloween Quilt Patterns

I was very excited to start working on this blog post as it is Halloween-related, so what else can you expect. Ah! *Excitedly rubs hands* I designed today`s list with one thought clear in my head – it has to be magnificent and spooktacular! It features some really quirky and interesting patterns that are not so spooky yet still very Halloween-y. While some patterns are perfect for inducing a few tremors down your younger spectators` spines, others are not-so-spooky and usable for the rest of the season too. The aim is for everyone to be able to find something to cater to their Halloween setup needs and to whip up some cackling quilts.

#1 Bats Quilt

Pin Free Halloween Quilt Patterns from Cluck Cluck Sew

An incredibly fun pattern for all Batman fans, the sort that you would say yes to without batting your eyes. Pun intended! I love the contrast of the black and white with the bats oriented at different angles. The Bats Quilt is pretty easy to cut out, as you only have 12 blocks to cut, each of which is 15 inches finished in length. Stitching up the 12 squares doesn’t require much effort either, so you will be done before you know it. Patterns from Cluck Cluck Sew

#2 Spooky Parade: Ghost Quilt Block

Pin Free Halloween Quilt Patterns from Center Street Quilts

If spooky and adorable had a baby, it would be this Ghost Quilt Block. This quilt block looks amazing as a stand-alone pillow cover or a mini quilt. I’m thinking along the lines of a cute-spooky pillow on your favorite reading chair, this way you’d always be accompanied while reading. This pattern is for 12″ x 12″ blocks which are a good size for pillow covers. A little heads up though, this pattern has a lot of pieces to cut. Besides the cutting of the pieces, it’s easy to put together. Patterns from Center Street Quilts

#3 Oakshott Modern Maples Quilt

Such an eye-catching quilted beauty, I’m shaking! Some patterns leave you dumbfounded and awestruck for a good long minute. It would make an elegant choice of Halloween décor and will spruce up your place for fall time festivities in general. Patterns from Diary of a Quilter

#4 The Happy Fall Pumpkin Quilt

Pin Free Halloween Quilt Patterns from Cluck Cluck Sew

Such a gorgeous-looking quilt to bless your space with! The contrast of the different shades of orange against the grey is such a vision, that you wouldn’t want to try it out in any other way. It is beautiful and magical, the kind of quilt you would want to hold on to for years to come. You can use it as a yummy-looking picnic spread and enjoy some pumpkin spice and all things nice, out in the open. Patterns from Cluck Cluck Sew

#5 Boo to You Mystery Quilt

What an interesting name! Doesn’t stop at the name though, as it’s followed by an equally interesting quilt pattern featuring pumpkins, triangles, and fall colors in different geometric orientations. You will enjoy creating this almost as much as you will love using it! Use it as a lap throw or a picnic spread, just make sure it gets the glory it deserves. Patterns from Fort Worth Fabrics Studio

#6 Halloween Chevron Quilt

Absolutely yummy is one way to describe the Halloween Chevron Quilt. It is such an exquisite pattern that would complement any interior décor choice that is defined in solid tones. This pattern has the power to brighten up the dullest of rooms, but don’t do that to it, please. Place it on a lovely chair and let it enjoy unshared glory. The best part is, this quilt is a lot easier to make than it might initially seem. Patterns from The Little Fabric Shop

#7 Halloween Bunting Quilt

Pin Free Halloween Quilt Patterns from Diary of a Quilter

If festivities are incomplete for you without any buntings, then the Halloween Bunting Quilt is surely going to wow you. It’s such a lot quicker and fun to make, although it may seem intimidating at first. You will be making 24 bunting flags and adding an all-around 5 inches border to enlarge the quilt. It would look amazing as a bed throw or a throw quilt for your favorite couch. Patterns from Diary of a Quilter

#8 The Cat Quilt Block

Pin Free Halloween Quilt Patterns from The Spruce Crafts

What’s a Halloween décor without the silhouette of a black cat. This interesting pattern is beginner-friendly and works up pretty quickly. You can use the cat quilt block as a standalone table topper block or make and stitch together multiple such blocks to make an entire, big quilt. Place some pumpkins close by, and hang some batsy décor, top it all off with some spooky lights and you’ll be all set for your Halloween jazz. Patterns from The Spruce Crafts

This would also be the perfect excuse to use up some of your favorite scraps. Patterns from Diary of a Quilter

#10 Halloween Disappearing 9-Patch Quilt

The Halloween Disappearing 9-Patch quilt is made by sewing a simple 9-Patch block and then cutting it in quarters. These quarters are then repositioned into new blocks. You can create this in different colors of your choice, or changing the ratio of the same colors, and make your personalized take of this pattern. Patterns from Jedi Craft Girl
