One fashion item that has stood the test of time, over the years, is womens leather shoes. These shoes are great to have, and for many women–fooled by clever marketing campaigns–these shoes are not a common possession.

There are many cheaper vendors in the marketplace that sell shoes that look like leather, that in reality are made out of plastic. These plastic shoes have very little give, and can scar the feet, and create discomfort throughout daily wear. Nowadays, some of these cheaper shoe vendors have started carrying a few shoe models in leather. The leather shoes usually cost a little bit more than the cheaper imitations next to them on the store shelves, but it’s worth the money. In lower priced shoe stores, you will more than likely find leather shoes in athletic styles, sandal styles, and a few featured dress styles. The rest of the shoes are cheaper imitations, and your feet will pay in the end for the money you save in your wallet.

Some people feel like it’s a good idea to buy non-leather shoes when buying trendy, seasonal items. This is not the case. There is nothing more unattractive then the large corns, and callouses created by wearing bad shoes. Why risk it? If you just have to have a seasonal shoe item, but know you won’t wear it for very long, buy a quality shoe. Then try and reclaim some of your money by selling it to a consignment shop for resale, or sell the shoes online. You might even be able to get half of your money back if you keep your items in good condition for resale.

Many canvas shoes are okay, and there are some shoes made of plastic that are okay. Sometimes sandals, and other shoes won’t cause foot problems with regular wear if they’re well-made. But you want to make sure you walk around the store at least 3 times comfortably, in the shoe, before buying it. The best thing about womens leather shoes though, is that the chances of your having any problems are very minimal. In addition, you can keep womens leather shoes, shined up, and maintained. These shoes will take much longer to look worn out if you provide them with the proper care. You can usually buy these shoes on the internet and in your local mall. When shopping online, and offline, you want to make sure you buy from a company in good standing with the Better Business Bureau, that backs up all of their items with an iron-clad guarantee, and return policy.
